Breast augmentation
Breast augmentation increases the volume of the breasts and reshapes them, using implants, fat grafting or both combined, for a shape in keeping with the body's build. Dr Manon Belhoste performs this procedure in Marseille, from €4,700 to €5,900 depending on the technique.

Frequently asked questions
Here is a visual and schematic representation of the breast augmentation.

Breast implants allow a larger, more predictable increase in a single procedure, but they are implantable devices with their own complications and a risk of a further operation in the long term. Fat grafting avoids a permanent implant, but the volume achieved is less predictable and several sessions may be needed, because part of the injected fat is reabsorbed. Significant sagging (ptosis) may require a breast lift, at the same time or later.
Before breast augmentation, Dr Manon Belhoste and the anaesthetist give instructions on fasting and medication, which must be followed without any deviation. You are asked to stop smoking and all nicotine. The prescribed breast imaging must be carried out.
After breast augmentation, the compression bra is worn from discharge, and a compression garment is worn over the areas where fat is harvested if fat grafting is done. Strenuous activity and sport must stop until Dr Manon Belhoste gives approval. Drains are sometimes used, depending on the situation, and removed in the first few days. Dressing and care instructions will be explained to you. The scar takes 12 to 18 months to fade and must be protected from the sun. The breast, areola or nipple may become less sensitive, more sensitive or differently sensitive. The change is either temporary or permanent.
A breast implant does not have an unlimited duration. Regular clinical and radiological monitoring is needed. One or more second operations may become necessary over the course of a lifetime. The implant card is given to you after the procedure and should be kept with the device reference details.
Breastfeeding may remain possible after breast augmentation. Having implants or a history of fat grafting does not exempt you from the breast screening recommended for your age and risk factors. Always tell the radiologist.
The price of breast augmentation includes Dr Manon Belhoste's fees, follow-up consultations after the operation, anaesthesia and clinic fees at La Phocéanne polyclinic or Phénicia clinic, as well as any implants used.
